Our Story From Tiles to Bathrooms

Alchester Tiles was founded in 2010 by Director, Andy, after completing a distinguished 22-year career in the British Army, where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Looking for a new challenge after his military service, Andy took time to gain valuable industry experience before setting up shop in a small warehouse on Telford Road, Bicester. Over the next three years, he worked tirelessly to build the business, earning a solid reputation in the community for providing quality tiles and outstanding service.

2013- Present

In 2013, Andy took a big step forward by moving to our current location on Granville Way, allowing us to expand both our showroom and our offerings. It was at this time that Andy’s wife, Nicky, joined the company, bringing with her extensive experience as a stock controller. Nicky’s role has been instrumental in helping the business grow, ensuring all operations run smoothly and that customers always receive the best service possible.

Our Growing Team

Welcoming Chris and Nikki
Since moving to Granville Way, the Alchester Tiles and Bathrooms team has continued to grow. In 2018, Chris came on board, bringing a diverse wealth of experience from his previous career in the fitness industry. Chris’s skills have been invaluable in helping us expand our bathroom design services, ensuring that every project meets the high standards we’re known for. Following this Chris’ wife Nikki also came to join our Alchester tiles family and has since proved invaluable in her support of both admin and sales.

Welcoming Scott
In 2020, we welcomed Scott to the Alchester Tiles and Bathrooms team. A former Military Policeman with eight years of service in the British Army, Scott has brought a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence to his role with us. He also continues to serve the local community as a retained firefighter, adding another layer of dedication to his work.

Welcoming Freddie
In September 2022, our team grew once again with the addition of Freddie. Freddie’s experience across multiple industries has provided us with fresh insights and new opportunities for growth. As our warehouse and transport lead, Freddie ensures that all deliveries are on time and that our operations run efficiently.

Alchester came out and measured up then set a meeting and went through everything they’d designed, we changed a few things and the got to choose what we wanted and they put the quote together right there and then. Exactly what you need, no hanging around waiting another week for a quote. They seem to know their stuff too. We’ve gone with Alchester and I went back today to modify a few things, all no problem. Now waiting for the installation.
