As a long-established business serving Bicester and the surrounding Oxfordshire area, we pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for tiles, bathroom products, and fully installed bathrooms. Over the years, we've branched from purely selling tiles to using our expertise to design & supply and bathrooms precisely to our customers' needs. Our team has decades of combined industry experience, meaning that there's rarely a challenge we aren't ready to undertake.

2010-2013

Alchester Tiles was founded in 2010 by our Director, Andy. He had recently left the British Army after 22 years of service, where he reached the rank of Staff Sargent and had a very successful career, but he felt like a change of pace. After taking his time to get industry experience under his belt during the great recession, the Alchester Tiles and Bathrooms story began in a small warehouse in Telford Road, Bicester. Andy steadily grew the business in the Telford Road premises for three years, building a solid reputation for our fledgling business, and building the connections we would need to make our next leap forward.

2013 - Present

Around 2013, the opportunity came for us to expand our operations and move into our premises on Granville Way, where we still operate to this day. The team also grew at this point, allowing Nicky, Andy's wife, to join the company and help it blossom. Nicky had valuable industry experience as a stock controller and was an essential asset for a growing company like Alchester Tiles and Bathrooms. In 2018, the team grew again, this time by hiring Chris. Chris had previously achieved great success in the fitness industry and brought the skills he'd learned to help us develop further and continue our growth as one of Oxfordshire's most reliable bathroom suppliers. 2020 brought with it a new member to our team, this time we welcomed Scott - a time-served Military Policeman with eight years of experience in the British Army, who also still has an ongoing commitment to the community as a retained firefighter.

The Future

From our humble beginnings, we've grown into a well-known and respected local, independent business that is one of the pillars of the local KBB industry for customers and the trade. We're still growing as well, having hired Freddie in September 2022. Freddie has vast experience in multiple industries, allowing us unique insight and development opportunities. We plan to continue growing to consistently exceed our customers' expectations and deliver tiles and bathroom products with the Alchester Tiles and Bathrooms edge.
